Social media has its negatives, as i posted about before. But it also has its positives to it as well. The conflicting points of view are what i posted about last week, social media dominating our lives and feelings too much against the fact that if used in moderation, social media can be an amazing tool. Not only is social media great for communication, its a great way to find old friends. You can find anyone on Facebook, so the older you are the more people from your past you'll be able to find. Now wether or not you want people crawling back from your past and being able to see what your up to is your opinion but in many ways that can be really interesting. Perhaps you'd find a childhood friend you haven't seen in a long time on Facebook, now you have the opportunity to catch up. Social media is obviously a good tool not only for social purposes but also for businesses. Business employees or co workers can communicate easily and quickly through Twitter or Facebook. It's always a good way to keep in touch. It's also used well for keeping in touch with relatives that you don't see often. You can keep up to date with what everyone around you is up to and they can do the same for you. The general idea of social media is magnificent. For example, imagine meeting someone at a party but not getting their full name. You can try to look them up on Facebook, send them a friend request and who knows what could begin. Social media defiantly has a positive side, it has great communication options for anyone thats connected to social media that you need to get contact with. Social media can be a sufficient communication tool for anyone.

Social media is dominating our generation and will for generations to come. Social media basically controls the way we think, what we feel, our emotions toward someone or something. We let websites control our simplest thoughts and moods. Social media causes endless controversy. Parents are concerned with privacy settings like who can see what their kids are posting. Also, social media is permanent. What you put online stays online. It's almost like a black hole, you can't get it back once you put it online. As a result of this, some employers can and do check Twitter, Facebook and even Tumblr to make sure their employees don't have risque photos or posts, so the sketchy photos that high schoolers upload with alcohol may be found later on while they're applying for a job or a college. Social media has become the new trend, it's rare to find someone without a Facebook or someone that doesn't know what Facebook is. But is this a good thing? Social media can ruin friendships and relationships. Should we allow that negative energy to run our lives? And where do we draw the line? Social media has already taken over our world, and we all need to realize its power.
